When you’ve been in business for 40 years, you are going to experience both the best and the worst of times. Along the way of Cooperative Home Care’s history, in 2016 we began creating and sharing tee-shirts at milestone events.
What surprised us about our simple concept, was the story that developed! As years passed, our story grew. Our shirts tell a story, and to honor our 40th birthday, we’re sharing it with you.
In June 2016, our 1st shirt celebrated our both the addition of hospice to our services, and our 30th birthday. Ten years ago we revealed our, Serving & Celebrating in Our 30th Year campaign. We committed to completing 30 service projects that year (we achieved 34!). From our first blood drive to dinner service at the Ronald McDonald House; if you served, you got a shirt.

We loved saving lives with our blood drive so we hosted another. In June 2018, if you donated (or attempted to donate) blood, you saved 2-3 lives and earned our 2nd shirt!

This would be an example of a combined best and worst time. On March 13, 2020, we gifted shirts at our Caregiver Milestone Reception. A few days later, the COVID-19 shut down would begin. Cooperative never closed in support of our Care Team; later that year we wore our shirts again on 7-1-2020 when we turned 34. Fun fact: these shirts also included our original, five Core Values (founded in April 2020; revised in June 2020).

In January 2021, Cooperative hosted one of the first community COVID vaccine clinics. We proudly wore our long sleeved maroon shirts and helped over 200 employees, family and friends get vaccinated at our corporate office.

In March 2021, we introduced grey fleece vests and jackets to recognize employees’ ten year anniversaries.

Our dark grey and blue shirts were introduced in November 2021 and we wore them to designate our first official Core Values month at our Monthly Team Meeting (another culture Org Habit) in April 2022.

Our first set of holiday swag included black and blue coats with pom-pom beanies!

August 18th, 2023 is Cooperative’s Founders Day, a day of service to honor our Founder, Fran Sontag. We served dinner at Ronald McDonald House in our spring green shirts.

Fall meant long sleeved light blue shirts with bright blue jackets on top! Happy Halloween!

During Core Values Month 2024, we sponsored the Battle of the Badges event in our Cardinal red shirts with 38 on the back (for our upcoming 38th birthday).

July 1st, 2024 is another best of times for Cooperative, as Mitch appointed Robin Gladwill as Cooperative Home Care’s President! Our bright blue tees highlighted Robin’s empowerment including Core Value #5, Empower People.

Our mint green tees are some of our most popular, but we opted to re-wear our Robin is President Empower People shirts for our August 18, 2024 Founder’s Day dinner service at Ronald McDonald House.

The November 2024 long sleeved neon yellow shirts aligned with our BOLD mission to grow home health care department.

Also in November 2024, the Leadership Team donned grey and black fleeces at Strategic Planning.

(In 4Q 2024, we upgraded our logo colors to blue and green!)
We celebrated our five year Core Values Anniversary April 2025, with throwback orange shirts.

Everyone except Ronald wore blue and white shirts for our August 18th, 2025 Founder’s Day dinner service project at the Ronald McDonald house.

October 2025 including Strategic Planning shirts shared with the Team in heather grey, white, and navy.

We got Valentine’s Day red quarter zip jackets for February Team building.

Core Values Month = new Core Values shirts in sunny yellow.

That’s our story! From Team members (many still here; some not), to the friends and family of Cooperative Home Care: we are thankful for you.
