We are dedicated to the success of our clients and employees. We are committed to the delivery of quality healthcare services.
Our Mission Statement has endured for 35 years. It guides every team member’s efforts. This includes our front line caregivers, nurses, and therapists as they providing care directly to our clients. It also applies to our administrative team working in our five local offices to support them. When you are part of Cooperative, you are part of something bigger. Beyond our Mission, we uphold six Core Values that shine through every Cooperative Home Care employee. We expect that you:
#1 Pursue Growth, #2 Challenge the Limits, #3 Empower People #4 Commitment to Cooperative, #5 Our Team is Our Family, and #6 Embrace Inclusivity.
We proudly share this Embrace Inclusivity (Core Value #6) statement from our owner, Mitch Waks:
“The Cooperative Team Is unique and that’s powerful. Be yourself. We like you that way. Diversity, Inclusion. They are more than words for us. They are our heritage, starting with our founder Frannie, and fueling our future. We celebrate our differences. Our commitment to inclusion across race, gender, age, religion, identity, and experience drives us forward every day and makes us better providers of health care. We strive to build and nurture an inclusive tribe where you can share in this commitment to creatively deliver the best home care. So bring your authentic whole self to work. Be you, because it takes all kinds to make the Cooperative Team. We invite you to be a part of it. We’re greater when we’re equal. Together, we can achieve #EqualityForAll.”
Our Hiring Process
Step 1: Connect with our Recruiter
If you are reading this, you’ve probably already talked with our dedicated Recruiter. She’ll welcome you and let you know what to expect. Schedule your first visit to Cooperative by calling her directly at 314-772-8585, ext. 360.
Step 2: Visit our closest local office
As an essential visitor, you are able to enter our office to complete your application. We make the hiring process as easy as possible. You can help by bringing two forms of identification (driver’s license or state I.D., and social security card or birth certificate). Our caregiver candidates meet their Client Services Supervisor; our nurse and administrative candidates meet with their potential department leader(s).
Step 3: Undergo background checks
We are working behind the scenes to thoroughly and quickly complete all of the required screenings for Missouri and Illinois. Pending the results of all previous steps, you may move to Step 4.
Step 4: Welcome to our Cooperative family!
Congratulations! Our Recruiter or designated team member is pleased to invite you to our next Orientation event. There, you’ll receive all of the training and information needed to begin your career. If you are a caregiver, you’ll receive your first shift assignment. Other team members will move to their next phase of onboarding. Welcome!
TYPES OF POSITIONS WE HIRE

Therapist
We employ physical, occupational, and speech therapists (also called, ‘speech and language pathologists’). Our therapists are part of our Medicare home health care team. Our clients and families often share positive testimonials about them, because our therapists Challenge the Limits (Core Value #2) and Empower People (Core Value #3) every day. As they assist clients who are recovering from a hospitalization and/or surgery, they help them envision their goals, and get them moving again. Ultimately, these clients gain their highest possible independence level.

Caregiver
We believe that caring for others is a calling. Our caregivers are people who genuinely want to help others. Home care is a difficult job that is not for everyone. It requires knowledge, patience, and determination. At Cooperative, Our Team is Our Family (Core Value #5). We provide the training, communication support, and the personal protective equipment (“PPE”) our caregivers need to safely and confidently care for our clients. As a result, we see our caregivers’ Commitment to Cooperative (Core Value #4) as they assist clients to complete their daily living activities as independently as possible. One more thing: get ready to be appreciated, because we love to celebrate our caregivers!

Nurse
Our LPNs and RNs provide clinical leadership. You may be completing field visits for medication set-ups, assessments, openings, discharges, and/or supervisory visits. As Cooperative accepts every type of home care funding, there are many different opportunities for our nurses, ranging from pediatric nursing to caring for a client celebrating their 100th birthday. We Empower (Core Value #3) our nurses to create a flexible schedule that is their best fit. Design one with a variety of visit types, or build a predictable, steady schedule.

Client Services Supervisor
Every Cooperative team member must Pursue Growth (Core Value #1). This Core Value has many applications for each team member. Our Client Services Supervisors use communication as one way to help us grow. They build care plans with input from clients, their families, and our nurses. They thoughtfully create the right caregiver matches with every client, even if it takes several attempts. They share updates with families and referral sources. As they complete these tasks, our Client Services Supervisors create new business and employment opportunities every day.

Sales
Cooperative employs experienced Account Representatives who are compassionate and have strong home care knowledge. We accept every type of home care funding. This quickly responding team helps ensure you access every funding source, before you pay out of pocket.

Office Administration
Our administrative team includes operations, finance, and marketing departments. We join Cooperative with our personal stories that are part of each of us. Next, we combine our unique talents into a cohesive effort to support our front line employees. When you are watching, there are opportunities everywhere to Embrace Inclusivity (Core Value #6).
