Cooperative takes care of you so that you can take care of our clients

Currently, most home care companies struggle to find the caregivers and nurses they need. Cooperative Home Care works very hard to support our Care Team! Our, “Cooperative Cares for Me I Care For You” statement is how we recruit and retain so many amazing employees. We want you to understand that when you choose to work in home care, you are Part of Something Bigger. As such, it is our job to care for you, so that you are at your best as you care for our clients. We have Monthly Team Meetings, monthly events including giveaways, free food, and company swag for our Care Team, and we are building a career path that we call our “Yellow Brick Road” that provides bonuses, milestone recognition, and opportunities for additional training and higher wages.

Our Mission Statement has endured for 35+ years. It guides every team member’s efforts. This includes our front-line caregivers, nurses, and therapists, as they provide care directly to our clients. It also applies to our administrative team working in our five local offices to support them. When you are part of Cooperative, you are part of something bigger. Beyond our Mission, we uphold six Core Values that shine through every Cooperative Home Care employee. We expect that you:

  • Pursue Growth
  • Challenge the Limits
  • Empower People
  • Commitment to Cooperative
  • Our Team is Our Family
  • Embrace Inclusivity

We proudly share this Embrace Inclusivity (Core Value #6) statement from our owner, Mitch Waks:

“The Cooperative Team Is unique and that’s powerful. Be yourself. We like you that way. Diversity, Inclusion. They are more than words for us. They are our heritage, starting with our founder Frannie, and fueling our future. We celebrate our differences. Our commitment to inclusion across race, gender, age, religion, identity, and experience drives us forward every day and makes us better providers of health care. We strive to build and nurture an inclusive tribe where you can share in this commitment to creatively deliver the best home care. So bring your authentic whole self to work. Be you, because it takes all kinds to make the Cooperative Team. We invite you to be a part of it. We’re greater when we’re equal. Together, we can achieve #EqualityForAll.”
