When Cooperative began serving pediatric patients at home and school, we quickly learned about the importance of Pediatric Nurses. Did you know that there is a huge need for nurses to serve children and young adults with medical needs?
A child’s medical needs are a constant. If there is not a nurse available, a parent or other family member/friend must step in to help. We want to help parents be parents – not 24-hour caregivers. Cooperative is committed to building additional care resources into pediatric programs across Missouri. One way we are achieving this is through our active involvement on the Pediatric Task Force.
Our team recently traveled to the Governor’s Office Building in Jefferson City, where Robin Gladwill, Director of Operations, presented new and innovative ways to address the pediatric nursing shortage. Great work, Robin! We are proud of the way you Pursue Growth (Core Value #1) and Challenge the Limits (Core Value #2). Keep going!
