Guide4SeniorLiving.com is a locally operated, online senior resource guide. Founder Tonia McDonald visited our corporate office to interview Kerryann Kohut, our dedicated Nurse Recruiter. The February 11th interview will be featured on their Senior Living Show. It also inspired our four-part blog series, with each post answering one key home care question.
Part three asks and answers: How can your company provide and maintain such consistent levels of attention and care for every client?
Cooperative has six Core Values that we apply not only to the care of our clients, but equally to the care of our nurses and caregivers. We would not be 39 years old without their expertise and innate abilities to care for our clients with compassion and patience.
Our Core Values are:
- Empower People
- Pursue Growth
- Challenge the Limits
- Our Team is Our Family
- Commitment to Cooperative
- Embrace Inclusivity
We know that our clients will get the most effective and comforting care when our care team’s needs are respected and addressed. Every Care Team member goes through an orientation that includes our company’s history and foundations in providing compassionate care, training on specific equipment and procedures the caregiver or nurse will experience in a client’s home, and company policies that maintain the highest level of care for every single client no matter what services we are providing.
We want our nurses and caregivers to be able to say, “They take care of me, so I can take care of you.” Our Care Team is our backbone and the consistent application of our Core Values gives us a solid foundation for how we interact with our staff and our clients.
