This year, Cooperative partnered with the Alzheimer’s Association to raise awareness and funds through their national campaign, #TheLongestDay. Everyone reading this post knows a family member or friend that has been affected by this terrible disease.

We are thankful that there is a lot of strength behind the Alzheimer’s Association. In very recent news, the FDA has approved Aducanumab for the treatment of Alzheimer’s. While it is not a cure, this drug has slowed the progression of Alzheimer’s for people in the early stages of the disease. Alz.org shares helpful FAQs about Aducanumab here.

Cooperative’s #TheLongestDay fundraising campaign included the opportunity to post on our social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn to share your Alzheimer’s stories. Cooperative’s CEO & Owner, Mitch Waks, committed to a $5 donation per engagement. While we did not achieve a total of 100 posts, we are rounding up and making a $500 donation from Cooperative Home Care, Inc. We want to help #EndALZ.
