“The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor… One who loves a pure heart and who speaks with grace will have the king for a friend.” (Proverbs 22:9,11).
One of Cooperative’s core values is serving. As a company, we strive to serve others. As individuals, do we pattern ourselves to act to fulfill a need of someone else? Do we share our “food” be it actual food, resources, time etc? And do we do it with a gracious, gentle heart that expects nothing in return from the person (or other “reward”)?
None of us is perfect. That’s why I say “pattern”. We may miss an opportunity to serve someone, we may serve someone with the wrong attitude or a “checkmark” that you did something (still better than doing nothing). Regardless, when you serve someone that person is blessed, and I believe by the passage above and what I’ve experienced that in some way, shape, or form, when serving with pure motives that blessing comes back around to you.
Have a great rest of the week!
