This is Russ. At our owner’s (Mitch’s) request, Russ sets out to inspire us weekly with a short and meaningful message. We’ve come to love these messages, and we hope you do, too.
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 (ESV). No, I’m not saying this because there’s something to worry about in today’s meeting when we get together. That will be good. Don’t worry. But there are PLENTY of things in life that we tend to worry about, things that can grip us in fear and anxiety…. OR we can trust in God (or a higher power) to get us through, guide us, comfort us. AND even during our own difficult times we can reach out with our own right hand to help someone who is down, struggling, hurt, or in need. There’s a lot of people that need “a hand” during this time of the year. Think about reaching out to someone, even this weekend, to lend a hand (or an ear or a tender heart). If you already do, awesome, do it again and again. And don’t be afraid to reach out to someone if you need it. That person helping you might be just what they need to help themselves (follow that one?). Thanks for reading.
Be a blessing because you are a blessing!
