It’s Award Season at Cooperative Home Care & Hospice, and we are pleased to honor KristyAnn Pfister with our Employee of the Year Award.

KristyAnn’s notable accomplishments over the past year include refining and managing Cooperative’s strategic plan, as well as creating and managing our award-winning, Serving & Celebrating in Our 30th Year campaign. In August 2017, she was also nominated for Small Business Monthly’s 2017 Top STL Employees.

Our It’s Award Season campaign wouldn’t be complete without sharing the story of one of our most treasured employees, Kathy Kaegel, who inspired our Employee of the Year Award.

In 2010, Cooperative Home Care endowed an award in the name of Kathy Kaegel, The Kathy Kaegel Memorial Administrative Employee of The Year Award. Kathy was an employee of 15 years with Cooperative Home Care when an unexpected illness took her away much too soon. Kathy was one of the early employees that saw many changes at Cooperative Home Care. Kathy served many roles and many different functions at our agency, eventually managing the St. Charles office.

In 2006, Kathy was awarded the Administrative Support Staff of the year for the state of Missouri. This was awarded to her by the Missouri Council for In-Home Services – our industry association. She was awarded this honor because she demonstrated several powerful traits that would make her an amazing asset to our agency.

First and foremost, Kathy was dedicated.  Kathy went above and beyond for the clients; she went above and beyond for the employees – she genuinely cared about the clients and employees. Kathy demonstrated a relentless loyalty to the agency and brought and attitude of a “can do and will do” spirit with her every day – finding a way to achieve when barriers made it seem impossible.

In honor of Kathy and her attributes, we honor a special employee every year that demonstrates these qualities.

When presented with the award, KristyAnn said,

“Kathy was an achiever of all things impossible; she was someone who quietly and persistently moved mountains. I am humbled and thankful for the opportunity to accept this award honoring her memory.”
